The Scott Herring family (pictured below) got a call sunday afternoon from the Palo Pinto co. sherrif's dept atat told them to get home and start back burning around their home and barns because they were right in the path of the huge wild fires that have been burning for days in the Possum Kingdom lake area. They backburned and the local fire departments worked to make a fortress around their home. As of last night they hadnt suffered any property damage other smoke damage but they were just beginning to battle another fiire headed their way. I know they and others including all of the fire fighters and forestry workers are extremely mentally and physically fatigued. There are many in the area who are homeless and without any of their belongings. Please pray for these victims and those who are working to save them. Forecast here today is temps near 100 degrees and wind gusts up to 30 mph. We need a big rain!
